Signed on September 17, 1787, the United States Constitution established the framework of the federal government and a system of separated powers that continues to shape American civic life. At its beginning stands the Preamble—a concise statement of the purposes for which that government was established, from justice and domestic tranquility to liberty for future generations.
Deep navy, burgundy, parchment, and antique-gold tones give this piece the character of a historic library or traditional study. It is particularly suited to an office, living room, entryway, bedroom, or dorm, while its substantive content makes it equally at home in a homeschool room or history classroom.
As part of The Founding Documents Series, this Constitution print can stand on its own or be paired with the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, Articles of Confederation, Northwest Ordinance, and other foundational texts to create a collection that traces the development of American government and its guiding principles.
Designed for those who believe the ideas behind self-government are worth keeping within sight.
