A celebration of one of literature’s loveliest observations about autumn: “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” Inspired by Anne of Green Gables, this print is designed for readers who share Anne Shirley’s instinct to notice beauty, delight in the changing seasons, and find something extraordinary in the ordinary world.
Soft watercolor washes, delicate branches, and autumn leaves in muted orange, olive, ochre, and rust surround the familiar words. The result feels distinctly seasonal without becoming purely seasonal decor—a literary piece that reflects a particular way of seeing the world.

Few fictional characters embody curiosity and wonder quite like Anne Shirley. Her delight in October is about more than autumn leaves—it reflects the ability to remain attentive to beauty, to recognize the pleasures of a particular season, and to be genuinely glad for the world around us.
That makes this piece especially at home among well-loved books, warm woods, collected objects, and the quiet corners where reading happens. Display it in a home library or reading nook, bring a literary note to an entryway or living room, or incorporate it into an autumn gallery wall.
It also pairs naturally with other classic literature and literary quote prints, allowing a collection to grow around the books and words that have become part of your own story.
Designed for those who never quite lost Anne Shirley’s capacity to be delighted by the world.
